Who I Am
Hi, I'm Deborah. I'm a software developer and QA engineer with a passion for building applications that are both user-centered and technically sound. I bring a unique blend of experience in quality assurance, backend development, and data analytics to every project I work on.
Whether I'm writing tests, designing database schemas, or crafting clean, maintainable code, I care deeply about delivering software that works reliably and scales efficiently. I believe great development is as much about communication and process as it is about code.
What I Do Best
- Developing and testing web applications using Django, Python, and REST APIs
- Designing and querying databases with SQL to support clean, scalable data models
- Leading projects with strong planning, documentation, and version control practices
- Creating structured documentation for onboarding, testing, and support workflows
- Implementing automated testing strategies using Pytest and Django unit tests
- Planning and coordinating QA automation projects, including Playwright-based testing
- Mentoring student developers and contributing to team knowledge-sharing initiatives
- Building interfaces with accessibility and usability in mind
What I'm Working Toward
I'm currently completing a Master of Data Analytics in the Data Science track while expanding my portfolio of software projects. My goal is to grow into a software engineering role where I can apply both my development and QA experience, along with my strengths in planning, documentation, and mentorship, to create robust, stakeholder-driven solutions.
This site highlights the tools I use, the design practices I follow, and the kind of work I enjoy doing. Thank you for visiting. I hope you enjoy exploring what I’ve built.
